Venice is easy to reach both by car and by public transport.
BY BUS
Take the direct ATVO shuttle bus from Caorle to Venice (Piazzale Roma). From there, to reach the famous St Mark’s
Square, you can take the water bus, choosing from several scenic routes.
For bus information see the ATVO website (http://www.atvo.it); for the water bus
see the ACTV website (http://www.actv.it).
BY CAR
Alternatively you can drive to nearby Punta Sabbioni or Treporti, where a water bus goes directly to Venice.
Here you can choose the shortest route from Treporti or Punta Sabbioni, stopping at the Lido (passing the mighty fort of Sant’Andrea, a masterpiece of Renaissance military architecture built by Sanmicheli in 1543, and the ancient church of San Nicolò, familiar from the paintings of Canaletto and Guardi) and finally reaching the San Zaccaria stop, a stone’s throw from St Mark’s Square. Alternatively, also from Treporti, you can reach Venice via the famous islands of San Francesco del Deserto, Burano (famous for its lace), Torcello and Murano (famous for its art glass). From there you can change
water bus and quickly reach St Mark’s Square.
BY BOAT
You can also visit Venice directly from Caorle with Motonave Caorle, which from Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 4 pm, takes visitors by sea to Venice along the whole Upper Adriatic coast (the beaches of Eraclea, Jesolo and Cavallino).
