It is the newest resort on the Caorle coast, built between the 1960s and 1970s: young and elegant, surrounded by large holiday villages, one of which has a 9-hole golf course.
Here you can see the ancient dunes and the coastal pine forest, preserved and protected by constant work of the Regional Forestry Agency, typical of the Upper Adriatic coastal strip that formed over the centuries as a protective barrier between the waves and dry land.
Duna Verde has well-designed holiday villages and residences with swimming pools and tennis courts, in harmony with the environment, which host thousands of tourists in summer; there is also a good choice of shops and entertainment in the centre, and a seasonal weekly market with 30 stalls held on Wednesday mornings in Piazzale Madonneta from mid-May to mid-September.
In summer Duna Verde is connected to Porto Santa Margherita and to Caorle town by a local bus service.
