This page explains which cookies and similar tools Caorle.com uses, why, and how you can choose. The controller is Alfa.it srl Unipersonale, Via Sile 9, 30021 Caorle (VE), Italy, privacy@alfa.it. For everything else, the privacy policy applies.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website saves in your browser to remember something from one page to the next. Other tools such as the browser’s local storage (localStorage) work in the same way, and we cover them here together with cookies.
Your choice
On your first visit we ask whether you want to load Google Maps. You can accept, reject or choose. Closing the banner with the × counts as a rejection. If you reject, the site still works: instead of the maps you will find a button to load them when you need them, and a link to open the location in Google Maps.
We remember your choice for 6 months, then ask you again. You can change it whenever you like from Cookie preferences, also in the footer of every page.
Technical cookies
They are needed for the site to work and do not require consent (Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code). They are all our own: none are passed to third parties.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
pw237 | Browsing session: keeps the pages of your visit together, protects the forms against submissions from other sites, remembers the order of featured properties and the request limit. | Until the browser is closed |
pw237_challenge | Security of access to the site administration. Only for those who manage the site. | Until the browser is closed |
caorle_consent | Remembers your cookie choice. | 6 months |
caorle-bragozzo-best (browser storage) | Your record in the bragozzo game. It stays only in your browser and is never sent. | Until you delete the site data |
Third-party services, only with your consent
| Service | Purpose | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Google Maps Google Ireland Limited, Google LLC | The maps on property pages and the map of the lists. | When you load a map, Google receives your IP address and may read or save its own cookies. Google privacy policy |
We do not use profiling, advertising or third-party statistics cookies.
External services that do not use your browser
Some external services are called by our server, not by your browser: they do not receive your IP address and do not save cookies on your device.
- Open-Meteo: weather and sea temperature on the home page.
- TypeSafe AI: the artificial intelligence search (see the privacy policy).
The webcam images and videos come from webcam.alfa.it, a service of the same controller, which does not save cookies. The site’s font is served by Caorle.com, not by Google Fonts.
The game’s “Share on Facebook” button does not load anything from Facebook until you press it: only then does Facebook’s sharing page open, with its own rules.
How to manage cookies in your browser
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block technical cookies, some site functions, such as the request forms, may not work.
