East of the old town, along Lungomare Trieste and the Levante beach. It is the area with the most beachfront hotels: almost all of them are less than 100 metres from the beach and about one kilometre from the centre, a 10-15 minute walk. Close by are the Aquafollie water park and the Luna Park, and at the end of the seafront the Bau Beach for guests with a dog.
West of the centre, along the wide, sandy Ponente beach, up to the lighthouse at the mouth of the Livenza. It is the area with the most hotels in Caorle, and here too the sea is a few steps away. The hotels near the centre are a few minutes from the cathedral, those towards the lighthouse are quieter; near the lighthouse is the Ponente Bau Beach.
Lanes, little squares and colourful houses around the cathedral with its cylindrical bell tower, Piazza Vescovado and the Madonna dell'Angelo sanctuary on the rocks. Staying in the centre means restaurants, ice-cream shops and boutiques on your doorstep and the beach a few minutes' walk away.
On the other side of the Livenza river, about 3 km from the old town: a quieter resort with a marina and a beach. Further west are Duna Verde, Altanea and Eraclea Mare, with campsites, holiday villages and apartments.
Which hotel to choose
Caorle has hotels from 1 to 5 stars, and most have 3 stars or 3 stars Superior. Almost all serve breakfast, many offer half board and some full board. To choose faster there are ready-made lists: beachfront hotels, with a pool, with half board, with full board, with a spa and that accept pets. Each hotel page shows the distances from the beach, the old town and the most visited places, from the Madonna dell'Angelo to Aquafollie.
When to go
The season runs from May to September, when most hotels are open; some stay open all year. July and August are the liveliest and busiest months: it is worth asking for a quote a few months ahead. June and September still have a warm sea, quieter beaches and often lower prices. In the news and events you will find festivals, food fairs and concerts, with dates.
How to get to Caorle
By car on the A4 motorway: take the San Donà di Piave or San Stino di Livenza exit if you come from the west, the Portogruaro exit if you come from the east. From Venice Marco Polo airport it is about an hour by car, and there are ATVO buses. By train you arrive at Portogruaro station, or San Donà di Piave, and continue by bus to Caorle bus station.
How to ask for a quote
You can write to a single hotel from its page, or send one request to several hotels at once: you enter your dates and guests just once and the hotels reply to you directly, free and with no commission.
