ECO-ENERGY: A CAORLE 'FLOWERS' IN TRACTORS
(ANSA) - Rome, Aug. 28 - A Caorle, Veneto holding of Agriculture, and 'Batch experiments on the oil rapeseed used as biofuel for traction of agricultural machinery. Last fall were sown in 8 varieties Vallevecchia 'rape on a total area of 24 hectares, with a yield of about 3 t / ha. Now the oil extracted from the seeds of these plants fills the tanks of tractors, thanks to a biodegradable fuel plant that respects nature, lowers considerably the input of carbon dioxide and costs. Compared to other fuels such as diesel or biodiesel, vegetable oil can 'be produced directly from the single farm or from more' affiliated companies: production and 'direct process and its' simple and does not imply an 'organization of an industrial, so they can become' a source of local energy spread in the rural area. Veneto Agricoltura, by their own company pilot and demonstration Vallevecchia in Caorle (Venice), has tested a few days ago, a Lamborghini 230, the first tractor company to be amended to make it suitable for use with pure rapeseed oil. The second, which will become 'the flagship company, will be' a Fendt already 'prepared with double power. An innovative project 'Energy crops', part of the strategic bioenergy Veneto Agriculture for the development of bioenergy chains, provides for the creation of a short chain and closed pure vegetable oil that can be an example for farms of Veneto.
