25-11-2025 International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women

Every November 25th the world unites to remember, denounce and fight one of the most widespread and silent violations of human rights: violence against women. A violence that takes many forms—physical, psychological, economic, sexual—and that passes through all societies, without distinction of age, origin, culture or socio-economic level.

This day was created to give voice to those who often cannot speak, to restore dignity to those who have suffered, to remember those who are no longer here. But above all, to remember that violence is not a private matter: it is a social, cultural and structural phenomenon, and as such concerns each of us.

The International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women is also celebrated in Caorle: during the day 3 plaques will be placed on the 3 red benches present in the area. The red bench on the Petronia seafront in Caorle is even richer in meaning thanks to the new installation by the Filo d'Ancora Caorle association, red hearts and names to remember and raise awareness.

November 25th reminds us of the fight against violence against women, but it is a responsibility that we must carry with us every single day.
