22-07-2023 Centenary of the new statue of the Madonna dell'Angelo

Saturday 22 July 2023 the statue of the Madonnina, on the occasion of its centenary, will be transported to Venice at the Basilica of the Madonna della Salute where it will be blessed and a rosary will be recited. At 1.30 pm it will leave for Caorle to the mouth of the Livenza river (Caorle lighthouse) where it will be loaded onto the Caorlina by rowing and parading along the coast it will arrive in Sacheta - Madonnina beach. At 19:00 there will be mass outdoors in the piazzale della Madonnina, presided over by the Patriarch. At approximately 21:30 on Saturday 22 July 2023, the statue will be transported to the Cathedral and the bell tower will be "set on fire" to greet it. The procession with the "fire of the bell tower"will take place on Saturday 22 July when the statue of the Madonnina arrives in the Cathedral (Piazza Vescovado) and on Sunday 23 July when the statue of the Madonnina will return to the Sanctuary on the sea.
