After the postponement of 2020 due to the covid emergency, the traditional and long-awaited Feast of the Madonna with a procession at sea takes place on the second Sunday of September.
The statue of the Madonna departs from the fishing port aboard the Caorlina (a typical rowing boat of the Venice lagoon), crosses the Varoggio and goes to the sea before landing
on the rocks and then reach the sanctuary, retracing the ancient legend according to which in the sixth century in full iconoclastic struggle a simulacrum was recovered on the sea,
dragged by the waves right where the white church stands.
The statue of the Madonna is accompanied in procession by the festively decorated fishing boats.
