11-07-2020 Procession of the Madonna dell'Angelo with fire of the bell tower

It is an ancient maritime tradition and perhaps it is one of the most felt events of the summer of Caorle .

Saturday 11 July, after the Holy Mass, the Madonna is transferred from the church to the sea, and the procession begins towards the millennial cathedral. When the statue of the Madonna enters piazza Vescovado the bell tower "sets itself on fire" to greet it. With the fire red bell tower, the Madonna enters the Duomo, between the prayers and the songs of the faithful and is hoisted on a pedestal that is positioned inside the central nave, just a step away from the entrance. Between Saturday and Sunday the statue of the Madonna is made the object of the prayers of the supplications of the faithful.
The next day, the Madonna dell'Angelo will return to her home, the sanctuary on the sea. After the holy mass in the cathedral the statue of the Madonna of the Angel will cross the exit and to greet her the bell tower will "fire" again.
