11-06-2023 Exhibition of works of art by the famous Andy Warhol - The Age of Freedom

From 11 June 2023 to 3 September 2023 in Caorle at the Bafile Cultural Center it will be possible to admire an exhibition of works by one of the most famous and influential artists of the 20th century, Andy Warhol - The Age of Freedom. Andy Warhol, born in Pittsburg on August 6, 1928, was an American painter, graphic artist, illustrator, sculptures, screenwriter, film producer, television producer, director, cinematographer and actor. At the Bafile Cultural Center in the historic center of Caorle, you can admire over 70 works by the famous artist Andy Warhol, a man who changed the way we look at the world. Andy Warhol, considered the greatest artist after Picasso, redefined the concept of art by breaking down the barrier whereby art was dedicated to the upper classes. In fact, with his works dedicated to comics, newspapers, Hollywood stars and supermarket products, he brought art to the most popular classes. His most famous works have become icons: Marilyn Monroe, Mao Zedong, Che Guevara, Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley and many others. Inside the exhibition, curated by Matteo Vanzan, you can also admire works by Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Indian, Joe Tilson, Jim Dine and the leading Italian artists of that generation. It will not be a pure exhibition of works but a real immersive journey with period films and videos that will immerse the observer in the artist's era and ideas.
