FLUSSIDIVERSI 2011

From 27 to 29 May 2011 to collect the baton from the hands of Patrick Flussidiversi Valduga will be the Magyar poet Géza Szocs. He will be the godfather of the 2011 edition of Flussidiversi, the great meeting which meets every year in Caorle, in the Venetian lagoon, the poets of the Community of the Alpe Adria, ie regions of northern Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, near Austria and neighboring areas. The appointment with the poets of this vast territory between the Adriatic and north of the Alps is announced for 27, 28, May 29 in the squares and on the waterfront of the old Venetian city of Caorle. The event, which took its fourth edition, an international authority and an appeal is objectively promoted by R egion of the Veneto, the Municipality of Caorle and the Community Alpe Adria. Truly unique shape of Géza Szocs, great "witness" of the 2011 edition of Flussidiversi. Géza Szocs (Marosvásárhely, 1953) is Hungarian-born Romanian. Poet of the greatest of his country's deputy minister to the culture of government in Budapest after being parliamentary and intellectual figure reference in neighboring Romania, which had been expelled from the country in 1982 after his arrest and imprisonment for subversive activities. At the end of the regime, returned to Bucharest, was elected a member of that Parliament. This led him to his transnational express themselves correctly in five different languages, including Italian. As a poet has published a dozen collections translated into many languages. But Géza Szocs is not only a poet and politician, is an intellectual in the round: novelist, essayist, translator, playwright, publisher, as well as point man of the political culture of the first in Romania and now in Hungary. In May 2009, for his contribution to European culture, the Vienna European Academy awarded him its prestigious annual prize. As in the tradition of Flussidiversi, Géza Szocs also "sign" his vintage cultural Caorle impinging on the seaside cliffs of the town of verses specially composed. They will complement those set in stone by Andrea Zanzotto, Christoph Wilhelm Aigner and Patrick Valduga witnesses to the event in 2008, 2009 and last year.
